Taylor Zakhar Perez looked dapper and dashing at the 76th annual Primetime Emmys last night, and while walking the red carpet, he put a great idea out into the universe!
Zakhar Perez, who starred in the Emmy nominated movie Red, White & Royal Blue and presented the award for Outstanding Writing For a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at last night's ceremony, also talked about where he sees the future of his RWRB movie franchise going since a sequel is now officially in the works.
Zakhar Perez was asked by Variety's Marc Malkin if he thought there would be a sequel when they made the first movie.
"I think I hoped. I hoped. Because it's a great book, and it kind of left you hanging after you read it," he responded. "I mean, I hope there's like three of them. I think it could be a nice trilogy."
He also said that he'd be down for a RWRB Broadway musical "as long as the musical's funny."
Back in May, we learned that a Red, White and Royal Blue sequel was definitely coming, with director Matthew López saying, "Yes, there's gonna be a sequel," and book author Casey McQuiston adding, "There's going to be a sequel to the film. Matthew and I are writing it together. And that's all we can say!"
We don't currently know what will happen in the upcoming sequel, but hopefully it leaves the door open for a third film!
